A group of women meet to read and discuss the upcoming Sunday Gospel Reading using the African Method of Bible Study.
The African Method of Bible Study is the simplistic oral tradition of:
1. One person reads passage slowly.
2. Each persons identifies a word or phrase that means something to them.
3. Each shares that word or phrase.
4. Another person reads the passage slowly (from a different translation if possible).
5. Each person identifies where this passage touches their life today.
6. Each shares.
7. Passage is read a third time by another person.
8. Each person names or writes what their word or phrase was.
9. Each person shares their answer to the word or phrase.
10. Each person prays for the person on their right, naming what was shared in the other steps.
Close with the Lord's Prayer and Silence.
